Optical Surfaces regularly supplies reference flats and mirrors world-wide. Flats are often used as a reference or, to fold a system in order to make it more compact, or to re-direct light at a desired direction.
The tables below can be used as a guide to our standard specifications for parameters such as size, material, surface accuracy and quality, microroughness, dimensional tolerances etc.
Special options include:
• Non circular shapes
• Surface accuracy of lambda/20 P-V at 633nm.
• Surface Quality: 10/5
• Microroughness <1nm RMS
• An extensive range of special coatings available including high power and femtosecond laser for various applications and to MIL-C-13508
• Light-weighting options
• Engineering and mounting service
Interferograms and analysis are typically supplied for flats with surface accuracy of lambda/4 P-V at 633nm or better. Slope errors are such to be insignificant in Schlieren and Reference applications.
